Shawntae Mitchell, known as the “PropertyGem” is a licensed Real Estate Agent specializing in Residential Real Estate in California (Keller Williams Elk Grove, CA) and Georgia (The Bailey Team and Keller Williams Buckhead Atlanta, GA.).

She was born and raised in Sacramento, California, and is the oldest of three.  Her parents instilled core values of honesty, integrity, and hard work in her and her siblings. 

Real Estate is her passion but it’s not just about the transaction for her, it’s about purpose and being able to facilitate the desires and dreams of her clients.

Energetic and someone who loves the outdoors, she enjoys riding her bike, running, weight training, and boxing.  For her, health and wellness is the key to longevity and good mental health.  

An avid traveler who has been to many states throughout the U.S and quite a few countries, she credits her journeys to being a flight attendant for United Airlines for 10 years. Her travels afforded her to create a China-based men’s custom clothing line TIKIT in 2006 and by 2008 it was an official brand. 

With TIKIT, her niche market specialized in trendsetting clothing for the big and tall man catering to clients in the NBA and NFL which is where she developed her eye for details and her high level of customer service.  

Although she has no children of her own, she loves them.  She has two nephews and eight Godchildren and is very active in their lives. She truly believes, it takes a village to raise a child.

”In this current climate in our country, it is very important to help shape the lives of our youth,” she states. ”Our youth are navigating through the most difficult circumstances of social injustice and terror of my lifetime.”

She believes that the charge to level the playing field is the mission of today’s youth. ”Most of the unrest and marches witnessed today have been led by our young adults.”Furthermore, she realizes that the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our lives tremendously and believes that educating ourselves is paramount in surviving the times. And being a Christian and very strong in her faith keeps her praying that the pandemic will be under control and began to save more lives. 

Shawntae is also very concerned about the African American community as it relates to health coverage.  She is committed to doing whatever she can to eradicate the racial bias in our country.  

Her message to the world is simple, If we want change, we must be the change we want to see…We must VOTE!!!
